Rear heater fan removal

Post by missfixit70 » Tue May 13, 2008 9:55 pm

While I was stripping out the rear trim etc today I manage to drop a ferrule straight into the one place I knew I would - the rear fan outlet #-o

Luckily it's dead easy to remove the fan, one 10mm nut underneath just under the sill, remove the side panel ( if you haven't already like I had), two screws at the front of the fan housing & one 10mm bolt on the slightly rusty looking bracket, pull it up, 4 electrical connectors & its out.

Good spray of waxoyl in the crevices while it's out & the reverse procedure to put it back :D
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Carefull or you will soon be left with a shell soon, still could get it dipped to a new colour

Still that should help as that question has been asked recently.

MMmm
Not a hard job when you realise there's a nut underneath....I replaced our fan a month back, and Tony re- soldered the resistor unit to make sure.
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
