Rear Air Con Issue
Hi guys,
My rear air con only blows hot no matter what it's set to. Main suspect is that the lights only come on occasionally, the panel was relocated as part of the camper conversion and the wires were extended. I will need to get at those wires and redo the connections.
I'm hoping this will be the cause.
In the meantime is there any way to see what the rear panel things it's set to do from the front, I have the digital climate control? Be nice to know if it's just a wiring issue or something more expensive !!!
Thanks.
Andy

I wonder if the person who did the conversion could through some light on this for you? I'd give them a call and see if they can advise.

Hi Andy - you might find some help in http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... berspacher. This topic was about manual controls, but I added some info about the late type. The only thing you can do from the front panel is switch it on & off. Do the lights on the rear panel come on & change with the position of the controls? If not, then it might just be unplugged. I found that with the rear panel disconnected, the heater seemed to come on in the same state it was prior to being disconnected.

Sorry to disagree Simon....you can take control of the rear unit by pressing and holding REAR until the Climate Control display changes and takes control of the rear unit.Simon Jones wrote:The only thing you can do from the front panel is switch it on & off.
Hope this is of help Andy!

Re: Rear Air Con Issue
It's in the manual
Doesn't control the temperature on mine though as that is a manual slider.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
Re: Rear Air Con Issue
Thanks guys, will help alot as to get at the wiring I have to take the fridge out.
If you hold the button for 2 secs then it tells you what the rear is set to, but you can't alter the temp.
Will have to get mine sorted as with all this hot weather it would be good to be able to cool the back of the car, gets hot in there quickly.

Yeah agree with you Apole.... but I think it is 3 seconds
but you can turn on/off by pressing the rear button...
press aond hold, then display flashes, and you can adjust fan, and where the air comes out... head or feet....
but you cannot (annoyingly) adjust the temp, you have to adjust that on the slider in the back
