big rubber hose

Post by karen » Mon Mar 31, 2008 6:21 pm

any one know where the best place to order of of these is

it is the large rubber hose that you see when you lift the drivers side seat up - can go and get a photo if anyone needs it but it's the only big long one that dissapears up to the front somewhere

afraid the metal grip from the wee tube beside it was cutting into to so when drivin ysterday i noticed the guage going higher than norm so stopped and could see drips from middle so popped seat and could see the steam coming out

it's just got temp runnber tape on it and a quick top up and bleed

but would prefer just to leave bongo off road until i swap the hose and then replace all the coolant

cheers

just a thought  but that little clip is quite high /where it may rub that hose, if it is high enough any chance of cutting the big hose /there should be enough play in it..just depends on how high up the nick is :?: temp fix maybe :?: while you source that hose......

hose

I thought I'd hang on for one of Flippa's silicone ones, but old one is def on it's last knockins, so service and hose replacement wednesday! I don't want to risk an overheating episode. AVA have them in stock, reasonable too, it arrived the next day, although I'd've prefered the Flippa version.

or do you flog them as well

Hi karen , i would advise not to wait for mine as much as i want to sell them to ya ,i can't guarantee a time  sorry about that but the last lot went like hotcakes :D
right two full banded clips 35mm-50mm....full banded meaning no perforations in the band= the cheap and nasty type

any decent motor factors should sell em

saying that if your buying the rubber just re-use your old ones

the hose you highlight differs from your description so id hazard a guess and say that is not the one you need

take a look in the daylight tomorrow
