Just an update, Ginny took the flare to the police today, they said it was the right thing to do, and it should have been removed before we were sold the vehicle. gonna get a torch to go in its place.

Lets hope the police contact the dealer you brought it from, and give them a swift warning to remove them before sale.

Quite right about the fact that they may start stopping Bongo's just to nit pick, but then it is for safety sake if they do.

To be honest it will only be a problem if they see a growing trend with people handing in Japanese Flares.

This should be a matter for the Fashion Police to deal with.

In China anyone caught wearing bell bottoms in public gets shot & a bill for the bullet goes to the next-of-kin.

Its only a matter of time. . . .

one of those cheap cylinde shake up torches fits also guaranteed to work when needed just be careful how you shake it though, you could get arrested or attract dog walkers (you know the ones who forget their dogs)

Would over enthusiastic torch shaking make you go blind? Would it be better to be temporarily blinded by the darkness? Or is that not as much fun?
