chrome trim loose on passenger door

Post by ronhud » Sat Oct 06, 2007 12:16 pm

The narrow chrome trim on the trailing edge of the passenger door is loose for about the top 15 inches (where all the changes in direction are). Any suggestions for the best glue to use and also how the devil to hold it in place while said glue takes hold!
Thanks

The best glue type of glue to use would be a contact adhesive - something like Evo Stick and the best thing to hold it in place whilst it goes off would be masking tape or insulation tape as they won`t mark your paintwork. Hope this helps . :)

I cant picture the bit you are talking about but generally speaking the best thing for trim is the heavy duty double sided tape. It is quite thick and spongy and you need to make sure both surfaces are scruplously clean.
