First off Hello again its been a while thanks to a faulty hard drive. Anyway I am now back armed with new P.C.
Been having starting probs from cold. Glowplug light goes off after a few seconds, if I try to turn engine over it really struggles. Leave ignition on for about a minute I can hear a click and then usually starts.
Have just got to be patient in the cold weather or is this a sign of trouble?
Glowplugs?

Don't forget that their are different size glowplugs for the bongo uglee,i couldn't be bothered with the whole removing of the plug...checking the size...waiting for them to arrive rigmarole
I booked my bongo in with mike at wheelquick,i had my glowplugs replaced, and the E.G.R. system removed using nick skidmore's blanking/removal kit. It took around an hour for both jobs.

if there the long 102mm then they are very hard to get hold of. (like ours)
modified the rail to get the smaller ones to fit. if everyone went to the garage then there wouldnt be anyone around to help out diy repairs.
ie on saturday i only went to say hi to carl and ended up replacing the steering wheel and indicator bulbs with dbo.

I know what you mean mike...steering wheels and indicator bulbs i can handle (i've dabbled with those before) but, personally, i have never swapped a set of glowplugs over,so rather than buggering it up,i let the pro's take care of it.
There's always the issue of the current arcing on the engine block if the wrong size are fitted, i realize that the rail can be raised or lowered to suit, but in my case i really would have been guessing if a problem had occured.
