Driver Side Window Switch Problem

Post by markmck » Sun Oct 07, 2007 6:39 pm

Hi

Just back from my last camping trip of the year at Barns Ness, near Dunbar. Perfect location and weather.

On the way home I wnet to opn my window and the switch made a 'buzzing' noise and the window never moved. I stopped, opened the door, shut it again and the windoe worked. Later on I tried to shut the window and same problem. This time I had to open and shut door a few times and it eventually worked.

Has anyone experienced this problem or know what causes it and hoe to resolve it

Many thanks for your help

Loose wire in the channel between driver's door and front of vehicle. Happens quite a lot.

Thanks Ian.

I'm glad its a common fault. Can you give me some direction on how to locate and fix the fault please.

Thanks

Trace the wire from the window switch to the plastic channel that appears when you open the driver door. It often cracks.
