Hi Dandy

No need to check the voltages, I was just curious as to what the mystery ticking sound is that occurs in that voltage range.

I've had a couple of pm's from 2sticks and his makes the same noise. He measured his TSCR too and got a value of 1975 Ohms. That means that all our resistors are out of spec with the published value by a factor of 1000.

I'd say that makes it's official, there must be a typo in the manual.

I think is should read:

throttle sensor compensation resistor should be 0.1 ~ 2.5 kOhms.

BTW did you find the TPS values that you asked for in that other thread (Economy, maybe a good mod or two.) in the performance section. They're the published reference values not readings I've taken.

Thanks for taking the time to measure things for me guys, much appreciated :D

ok CB. still not sure about adjusting the TPS, although I'm sure it can be put back where it should be. Anyone got a factory manual with any info on the adjustment procedure and figures?

You're lying low on this one smartmonkey - any thoughts?

I am going to get around to adjusting my TPS but I will mark it's current position first. I know the adjustment is limited but I only need a bit of extra movement before it un-locks. Of course if it is looking for rate of change or amount of movement rather than a specific value then it wont make any difference. I have been tied up with boats and motorbikes recently and the Bongo hasn't been out.

I'm pretty sure it's a simple value and not rate of change or anything so sophisticated as that. I've been watching my a lot recently and that's how it would appear to me.

If you move the TPS too far it will go out of range at one or other end of its travel (idle or wide open throttle) and the HOLD light will flash
