Take no notice of last post, me like a dipstick went out without my bins on could not see a pipe, wife went out to look and pipe was there tucked away behind other pipes, connected it, just been out to give it a blast, what a flying machine. My thanks to all you great folk who have helped. Just wondered why Adrian didn't spot it!

If you look at the photo I posted, the pipe is connected and runs away under the front of the engine, are you saying it should connect to the pipe I have circled
If so I will have to look underneath the engine to locate where it is connected to
Our bongo is slow uphills but fine on level ground puzzling

Hi Pete, I had a pipe that wasn't connected to anything. I have now connected to where you have circled and its running miles better. Will take some photo's with and without it connected and try and upload them tomoz so you can see. Mine in now connected exactly the same as petebee's and i instantly saw an inprovement.

Thanks petebee
once you have uploaded photos a time or 2 you wonder why it was so hard to do first time
I will have to locate where the pipe connects to under the engine, I will have to then give it a try , will post tomorrow on how I get on thanks for advice and photos, have wondered for a while why pipe was blocked, mystery solved

Well the rain abated for a while this afternoon, dashed out and checked the pipe, it was fit onto a pipe that runs at the very front of the engine above the alternator belts, tried to get a photo, but not acessable
I removed the pipe and popped it on to the correct pipe
I went for a spin
Goes like the clappers up hills now, am I chuffed
So I now have a pipe that may or may not need blocking
Before I removed it from the wrong position, I ran the engine and I felt the end of the pipe it was sucking in air
So not sure what it's purpose is-- any ideas please, thanks again for all advice, Bongo now climbs the big hills around here with ease
