I've got a towbar but have managed to come a cropper twice nonethless. First time wold have happened to anyone (and the campsite reception confrmed it had happended to many) when a low, sharp rock placed out of site just where you reverse out of the campsite pitch got the left hand rear corner badly.
then 2 wks ago - my fault for being too polite - I reversed back hastily to make space for an elderly couple to pass side by side on the pavement (it was one of those bad roads where you have to put 2 wheels on the pavement). I didnt see the lamppost in the rear door piller blind spot and when straight into it. Same place as previous but this time dinged the metal on the tailgate. V p*ssed off. I must fit sensors but havent found time yet.
