If you do accept a repair make certain the mechanic understands the need to bleed the system.

Personally if he’s a genuine trader I would reject it as unfit for purpose and claim a refund, likely if you let him repair it you will have more problems.

If he’s a private individual posing as a trader you haven’t got much hope.
