Re: Air suspension...

plonkatronix wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 3:51 pm Cheers, I might just contact them and see what they have to offer in the way of a full kit, it would be nice to replace the front struts with some air controlled units 8)
That wont be straight forward or cheap, this type of air suspension is to assist worn or poor quality leaf springs

Re: Air suspension...

Mine was a kit with two airbags, control panel, twin compressor all pies fitting etc and all the brackets to fit.
I would ask them if they make a kit if not you could just but the bags etc and make your own brackets?
My kit looks like this with different brackets

Re: Chinese diesel night heaters

I fitted one to our Motor Home about 2 years ago, Cant fault it.
Read the instructions as the faulty ones I have seen are people who install them incorrectly.
Join the Chinese diesel heater group on Face Book.
For what they cost carry a spare heater plug and the tool to change it

Re: Reversing camera install

Mine was routed through the high-level brake light and along the head lining I made a pod to hold a 7" screen by the rear view mirror
If I was doing another I would mount two cameras one facing the floor for parking and one facing backwards, the modern screens easily toggle between the two

Re: Bongo at the garage with a broken camshaft :'(

From memory the ranger cylinder head just has some water connections that are different, just be certain he knows how to bleed the coolant after as its not a straight forward job
Best to get it repaired

Re: Home CCTV Advice

I also spent ages looking in to this
I bought a system made by this company via Ebay
http://www.sanncegroup.com

Camera positioning is key, personally I would have one low down to get faces and one high up covering road to hopefully see any associated vehicles.
This is excellent

Re: Thinking about selling, repair or not?

I bought my Bongo with one dented / rusty arch, sold it 5 years letter un repaired, to some one with basic hand tools its simple easy repair costing under £150 in materials for both sides possibly as low as £100, I would give it 12 months MOT as some one will buy it and do the repairs them selves, I ...

Re: Interior light question

Its a simple job to remove the U shaped bulb and fit a panel LED like this, from memory I added 2 in my light.
Massive difference and less battery drain
