Do we need travel insurance?
Hi everyone! We're going to Belgium/Netherlands this Easter, then Germany/Austria in the summer. What do people think about travel insurance? We have breakdown cover and are covered for medical expenses on the EHIC card, so is there any point in forking out for an extra travel policy? Does anyone bo...

Loss of top speeds and power (2.5tdi)
Hi everyone, had a problem when going at motorway speeds on recent trip. Basically at one point, we couldn't get above 60mph. The engine 'hicupped' a bit and the power felt jerky and inconsistent. After stopping for a night it was a bit better the next day but were limited to about 70, most noticabl...

What is a CCI?? We've camped round France, Spain, Italy, UK and never heard of the CCI but I've just read about it on the RAC website! Is it worth getting?

Help needed with leisure battery

Re: Powering laptop from leisure battery
Thanks for all the tips guys. It's a fairly new laptop so a 100w unit should do it. I guess we'll be able to charge it while the car's running so will only hve to use the LB occasionally. Thanks again

Re: Best winter tyres for 2WD
Cool guys, thanks for the help.
Quadrac 3's certainly seem to be a hot pic with Bongo owners!
Not quite sure what is meant by 'small steel wheels'. are you suggesting changing the wole wheels as opposed to the tyres...?
Thanks for your patience, I'm a bit new to all this

Re: Any suggested 'eco' campsites?
The Lone Wolf in South Wales is nice - very eco. http://www.coolcamping.co.uk/campsites/uk/wales/south-west/neath/lone-wolf As well as a huge field for the vans there is a forest you can take your tent into which I guess is about as 'wild' as you can get whilst still being officially on a campsite. ...
