Re: Fuel filter - urgent

Need to replace my fuel filter and have just received it. Presume it is straightforward to replace i.e. just pull the old one off and push the new one in place. Is there any bleeding or stuff that needs to be done whilst/after doing this? Presume, also, I need to stop petrol pouring all over the ...

It looks like the mirror may have had a knock cos its a bit wobbly where it is attached to the car. Will look at the loom tomorrow.

Electric nearside mirror

My offside mirror can be adjusted and power folded from the switch in the car but the nearside one can't - nothing can be adjusted at all.
Where's a good place to start to look for the fault, please?

Leisure batteries and charging

On my previous Bongo the leisure battery seemed to be able to take a charge from the main engine battery through some wiring arrangement and a box (excuse my lack of knowledge on the terminology) connecting the two

On my latest the wiring to the leisure battery goes back into the body of the van ...

Hi. I get a knocking noise from (what appears to be) the front offside of the van.
Presume it is not terminal?

Re: Stuck sliding door

Needs a really good THWUMP about a third of the way up on the INSIDE with the palm of your had. It should then whirr and click away

Hi and thanks but tried this and to no avail. Whereabouts specifically on the inside do i need to assault?

If this doesn't work is there another way - applying ...

if it helps - battery was flat and and jumped it. Open sliding door OK, switrched off engine (only after a minute or so of running so no real charge put baqck in the battery). Shut door - noticed no electrical assistance noise and now won't open ...

Re: Electric window switch AND starting problem

Hey - guess what. I have now started it 3 times when cold and it started first time every time. :? It hasn't done that for a long time.
The fuel tank is full and the van is parked on the level (previous times it has been parked nose up on a small incline)

I'll have to wait until it starts messing ...

Re: Electric window switch AND starting problem

Probably been covered but what about the vacuum that can be created in the tank, maybe the breather hose is blocked near the cap, the more fuel used the greater the vacuum .thus causing fuel starvation to the pump. releasing the fuel cap alleviates the problem temporarily.
or just tell me to shut ...

Re: Electric window switch AND Starting Problem

Right. The symptons are (in no particular order or perhaps relevance to each other)

Generally when the tank is full it starts OK but not always and becoming less so predictable.
It takes longer to start the lower the fuel level
On first key turn it generally fires up but only for a second (false ...
