Well after a lot of arguing with the very difficult to reach fan bolt, the new water pump is fitted and the leak has stopped (fingers crossed). So thanks to everyone for the tips to the cause of the problem :D

Alloy wheel weight rating

I got myself a bargain set of alloy wheels from a Hyundai Coupe (£15 with very little marks), but before I head of and get the correct tyres fitted I wanted to get some advice as to whether these wheels are going to take the weight of the Bongo safely, let alone a fully loaded bongo.

I can't find ...

Thanks for the tip, I couldn't spot the exact source of the leak but all evidence points to the water pump. New waterpump and gasket ordered so fingers crossed it's the cause of the problem.

Yep Kirsty, it the engine sump not the ATF :oops:

Had a bit more of a pock around, it's definitely coming from behind the large pulley at the bottom, can't see it originating any higher up, think i'm going to have to remove the fan to get my head a little higher!

Yesterday I fitted a new radiator and thermostat to the bongo, after the old radiator failed. I replaced the coolant, bleed the system as per instructions, and all was looking good, darkness had fallen so I decided to leave it over night before putting the engine tray back on. Started up the bongo ...
