Re: Rear suspension
Agreed flinty, for those who don't want to fit air bags or can't afford them spacers are a cheap alternative which work. I also had them on the rear of a few cars when I used to tow caravans with no problems, come to think about it the only broken springs I've had were on front suspension where ...

Re: Wheel sizes VS dodgy speedo
Mine is similar to yours, when speedo reads 50 the true speed is 43, I think is something to do with the speedo facemarkings being changed to mph, I have heard hat it is possible to re position the needle to compensate for this but havent tried this myself. I did toy with the idea of fitting larger ...

Re: Modified temperature gauge - no resistor??
If I ever need to get it out again I'll try that but as I said it's been working fine for over two years so happy to leave it as it is for now.Driver+Passengers wrote:Next time you've got your cluster out (), give the resistor a

Re: 35mpg - can't be right...?
My 4wd diesel with rear conversion has averaged 34mpg over the last 3000 miles and on a decent motorway run will get over 37mpg, however to achieve this I have to keep the speed to 60 and under, keep revs under 2500, I also have a simple throttle lock type of 'cruise control' fitted which I am sure ...

I have a 2000 diesel with same type of filter as yours, no problems removing the filter but the bolts are different lengths so take care when re fitting.

Re: Hold Button? What's it for?
With the gear lever in D and the hold button pressed the gearbox will change between 2nd and 3rd depending on your speed, if the gear lever is in S with hold on the gearbox is held in 2nd and with the gearlever in L and hold on the gearbox will be held in 1st. Is useful when going up or down very ...

Make sure your mains hook up socket is sealed...
If you have a hook up socket check thatits weatherproof. While having a few days away camping last week I got talking to another Bongo owner and he reckoned while he was checking the underseal he found a big hole behind the drivers side rear wheel, below where his hook up socket is fitted. He also ...
