Coolant Boiling out of the Header tank
Bongonaughts - a short tale of woe.
Last week my wife reported that the Freda guages were playing up - both temp and fuel were erratic. So we booked her in for a slow time exploration.

Re: Cold starting again but battery drain this time
Update - Posting for the benefit of others.
Fixed - cold start relay knackered. So after a long stand the relay activates and shorted the system!
Hadn't seen that mentioned before.

Cold starting again but battery drain this time
Yet another cold starting issue but unlike most of the others I have read.
So we have a winterpack Friende - with two batteries, both for starting - no leisure battery.
Normally she starts well, we normally allow the glowplug light to go out, hear the click, and give the key a twist and she is off ...

Re: Drivers window switch - How much?
Yes - it was exactly thatDiplomat wrote: With mine it's definitely the switch. Specifically the 'axle' of the plastic part of the switch, not the electrics.

Re: No Washer but wipers working
Thanks both - I don't think they are frozen but I do think that they have been run dry - the reservoir has screen wash now but I'm not getting any sound when trying either end - there's so little light currently it will have to wait until I'm off.

No Washer but wipers working
No washer sound at all - front or rear but both sets of wipers are still working so it's not the fuse! Anything else I can try?

Oil warning light but oil levels ok ?
Our winter pack equipped Friendee has copped well with the snow BUT we are getting an oil warning light on for quite a while - it does go out after 10 - 15 mins but may also come back when going over a speedhump etc.
I checked the oil level using the dipstick accessed form under the drivers seat and ...

Mystery Flat batteries
We have a winter pack twin battery setup. A couple of weeks ago the Freda refused to restart following a quick stop outside a shop at Lakeside - she sounded like she had no battery power - very slow turnover etc. We got a jump and were on our way. My wife had the electric checked and we were told ...

Ours does the whole 'stop in the middle' thing too.
I'm surprised to hear that some tin tops don't have sunroofs

Fog ? lamps
Its been a touch foggy here of late - we note that the factory fitted 'fog' lamps are, in a word, useless in fog. Are they in fact driving lamps and if so is there an upgrade that could be performed? - I'm thinking bulbs rather than extra spots.
