While you are at Halfords ask about there 'rip speed' CD/ DVD players, they are doing some good deals at the moment ( credit crunch and all that!)
I have just fitted one, best bit of kit I've fitted for a while

i had this problem and used a VERY mild bleach solution.others have had success with dettol mould and mildew remover.ours seems to get damp when not aired regularly.

I did this on the VERY CHEAP

I put my Garmin street pilot III ( marine grade circa 2005 model) onto its mouting plate in the front cubby hole

Taking a battery home is a 'reasonable excuse' just after purchase but having it there for use on your hols or a day out isn't

If you are then its more probable the glow plugs ( one or more of them) are kaputt.
simple job to buy and fit a new set.
