spark plug gap

Hi everyone, new to the forum need a little help,going to give bongo a little service the weekend and i can't find out what the spark plug gap should be.Its the v6 any info most appreciated

Hi bongo bongo, sorry I can't help you with your specific question but even better, if you haven't already bought new standard plugs then consider replacing with NGK iridium plugs. They come with the gap preset and you don't have to touch them for 60,000 miles. I've had them in my MR2 for over 50,000 miles and almost similar in the wife's Mazda 323. Brilliant, never skipped a beat and still going strong. A bit more expensive at about a tenner a plug but long term you get the payback. I bought mine on-line at spark-plugs.co.uk. Use your old plug ref number to cross reference. If in doubt then contact them. I found them very helpful in the past.

Hi, pretty sure it's 1.0mm unless you are running on lpg then it's recommended to reduce slightly to 0.9mm.

If you are changing plugs, go for Denso irridium IK16's, best from ebay in the states as they are far cheaper. They work well and last alot longer.

Gap 1mm to 1.1 mm Ive just fitted standard NGK plugs, why go to the expense of iridium its hardly a high revving performance engine

They should be gapped straight out of the box? (1mm)

but as a diesel bongo owner its never going to bother me ( Gloat)
