Does it sound like it comes from the front suspension? Could be a creaky bottom ball joint. Try and replicate it by bouncing on the suspension.

Just by chance actually. I've been keeping the hatch shut when raising the roof. I raised the roof right to the top, still beeping, so I got in the back of the van, pressed the button again, still beeping, raised the roof hatch, beeping stopped.
