Re: Lowered suspension

No major probs then, and some advantages.
Main thing for me is the ugly gap between the wheels and arches.
Forgot to mention I tow a caravan but I think better handling will benefit towing.
Thanks for your replies.

Lowered suspension

I have condidered getting hold of and fitting shortened springs. I am thinking i will get better handling and will be more confident going under 2.1 metre barriers. I know road humps may present a problem with clearance, but only the most severe! There are several posts on this forum of people wishi...

Re: window switch fix

Small tip here.
No thats not my nickname!
Generous coating of silicone grease before connecting any connectors will prevent corrosion damage.

I'd stick the 65 section wheel as a full sized spare, (limited use then if used) A replacement bongo steel wheel can be bought for about £2 (without tyre) Then, say £40-£50 for a new tyre? Probably cheaper than the fine and three points if you get a tug...[/quote] Steel wheel £2? Where? I paid £20 at...

Hi Steve,
Nice job.
If you have pictures on replacing bulbs in the window blind switches on the dash. Then I am interested.
I gave up trying to work out how to get to the bulb.
Tyre lever is my next option!
Tony.

Thanks for replies. As I said in the subject title, it's my paranoia.
I'll find something else to worry about now! Like the roof lifting up at high speed and ripping off

Towbar paranoia

Some time ago I fitted a Towsure towbar. At the the time I wondered about the strength of the mounting points on the Bongo. The towbar bracket itself is plenty thick enough! Would'nt be out of place on the forth bridge. But the pressed steel mounting points on the bongo seem very thin and appeared t...

You are correct Trev, It's a while since I did change the bulbs. I could not remember wether it was two or three bolts holding each headlamp in. What I do remember is that the headlamp bulb connectors were so corroded in place I destroyed both headlamp bulbs taking the connectors off! Worked out qui...

Pippin, I also have a 99 facelift model, and you are right about changing the winkers.
Remove front grille and headlamps then winker bulbs easily accesible.
Now I have confirmed you are correct, can we come to some arrangment on the massive discount you will arrnge for me at your hotel!

Thank you Colin, I was going to say I was only joking. But actually I was HALF joking maybe LEDS would be brighter than Bongo headlamps. Much has been said on the subject of dim headlamps already. But why are they so bad? It must have as much to do with the reflector as H4 bulbs are fine in other ca...
