Re: Rear Shock absorber bolts

I managed to source some bolts from Bongo Spares, Bongo Parts also had them. Both were from an old bongo, but have done the job fine. So hang on to those old bolts folks, new ones are rare unless anyone knows of an alternative part.

Re: Rear Shock absorber bolts

Thanks Geoff, interestingly the Ford Ranger bolt comes up in that search although it has one character difference in the part number

Rear Shock absorber bolts

Does anyone know what size the rear shock absorber bolts are, the ones on my bongo are seized and need to be cut off, so I could probably do with 4 sets and I don't have access to the bongo at the moment so can't measure them.

Cheers

Re: Open Mic Night

I've had no requests for the open mic night yet, surely you don't all want to listen to me all night 🤣

There will be several mics available and I can also do backing tracks and lyrics using Karafun.

So brush up on those power ballads and the soul classics and let me know your requirements.

Re: Tatting Classes and Demonstrations

My classes sound a bit naff now with all the experts wading in.

Don't panic Baz, she was inspired to dig out the tatting by your Macrame class and was hoping to join you, but she won't be with us until Friday evening  so thought something on Saturday would work. Anyway, all will be ...

Tatting Classes and Demonstrations

Ann has kindly offered to demonstrate and teach Tatting to anyone interested. She will be available Saturday all day and Sunday morning, at our van, next to the marquee. She will have Tatting Shuttles and Tatting threads available.

Tatting is a form of lace making that is similar to crochet or ...

Re: Just got back...

Glad you enjoyed the weekend Nic - it was no problem "adopting" you as part of the Lewis clan for the weekend. We especially enjoyed being serenaded by the tin whistle over breakfast on Sunday - you play it very well. :D

I'll just add my thanks to Ian and all the other volunteers for making this ...

Re: V6 2000(W reg) auto box fault

The gearbox oil was changed when the van was imported 2 years ago and looks OK. The problem has developed over the last 6 months or so, starting with an occasional whine but steadily occurring more often and now displaying the error codes as well.

Thanks for the link to Alacrity, I'll try and get ...

I've now run a diagnostic on the gearbox fault codes - more details in the other thread here

V6 2000(W reg) auto box fault

I have a problem with my V6 automatic gear box. I have a (sometimes) intermittent whine when the Bongo is in Drive , usually from cold and continues when warm. The whine goes away when the automatic transmission is in lockup. The whine is from the gearbox, my local, friendly, mechanic has checked ...

Re: My Bongo's got tinnitus, and other issues.

Did you ever get a resolution on this problem?

My V6 (2000 W reg) is doing the same thing. The whine is from the gearbox, my mechanic has checked out the gearbox and says the whine is due to a pipe on the gearbox vibrating which might indicate a blockage or blocked filter somewhere. I haven't ...

Re: Vehicle Excise Duty For Bongos

I have just imported a 2000 (will be W reg and is over 10 years old - just   ) V6 which has not been converted (so should be registered as an MPV not a camper van) through Algys Autos. The tax on that for 1 year is £205 so it looks as if vehicles over 10 years old still fall into the ...

Logo Quiz

Many thanks to all of you who bought one of these off Angharad. They did very well and managed to raise £245. The winner with 143 out of 144 was Debra Wilson (unfortunately not a Bongonaut :( )
