btw, I forgot to update here :
in my case, the plug wires + rotor arm and distributor cap did fix the problem ! It's not sluggish anymore !
Yippie !

Re: Throttle position sensor on 1998 2.5 v6 Auto Petrol
Hi,
I need to replace my distributor cap and needle, and the spark plugs wires, and to check if it helps. I'll do it today hopefully.
I don't know if it could be the same for your as the engine is totally different though.

Re: Throttle position sensor on 1998 2.5 v6 Auto Petrol
So, I cleaned this valve, which is an idle adjustment screw,
I cleaned the Throttle Body, even if it wasn't any dirty.
I also replaced the 6 sparking plugs.
And there's no change at all. Exactly as before. Same problems and same fault codes.
I will, as I planned in the first place, replace the ...

Yes, thanks, I know them, but I don't understand why you're posting this now.
As I'm experiencing EXACTLY the same problem as sp2cpss , I expect the solution will be the same too

Re: Throttle position sensor on 1998 2.5 v6 Auto Petrol
I did check mine today, and this little valve is actually the idle screw.
Mine was also filled with soot, so I cleaned it. I didn't have the opportunity to check if my problem was gone, I'll do it ASAP. I hope it will, though, I really don't know how it could, as it's just an idle valve

Hello sp2cpss !
I'm experiencing EXACTLY the same problem as yours : sluggish bongo (noticeable lack of power, particularly uphill), heavy fuel consumption, weird throttle response and revs variations... Read the fault codes : 11, 12, 15, and 11 again ! Which is pretty weird and exactly like yours ...
