Re: bloomin roof

Thanks Novocaine,
I've ordered the translated manual, so I'll have a look when it gets here.

Re: bloomin roof

Going back to Novocaine's original post, he mentions 'getting the allen keys out' to lower the roof. How does this work? I can't find anything about it. It would be useful to know, just in case!

Re: rear door ladder

One of those ladders would be really useful when I want to put surf boards on the roof, but can the roof take a person's weight moving around on top? I would need to get to the front roof bar to tie the boards down. I'm only little, so I don't weigh too much!

Re: Mystery Switch

Yes, definitely.I'm also thinking that I will be glad of a full size spare if I get a puncture with the Bongo fully laden in the middle of France or Spain!

Re: Mystery Switch

Thanks Bob,
I've just been out to check again and the T bar is there, I missed it because it is very neatly clipped to the top of the jack compartment. I'll have a go on Saturday when I can see what I'm doing in the daylight! Hopefully it won't be snowing.

Re: Mystery Switch

Thanks,
It appears that I have the adjusting toggle for the mirrors, but not the retracting button.

I have the sun sensor (but I don't think mine is climate control, just a blue to red dial to twist) and the small fan in the dash, I'll check the drain on the bonnet next time I can get to it when it ...

Re: Mystery Switch

Hi Brian,
I tried it with the foglight s , one switch works both the front and the dangly rear on mine.

That list reminds me to check the spare (I know it's there, I looked), but I haven't tried removing it yet, which is a bit of an essential requirement for a spare tyre - looks like a spacesaver ...

Re: Mystery Switch

Hi Bob,
Looks like you're right. It was a fresh import when I got it, so I wonder what other exciting gadgets have been hidden away for me to discover later by its previous owner!

Thanks,
Gareth

Re: Mystery Switch

Well now I'm confused. I tried it with the foglights, but it had no effect (separate switch), so I switched it again to see what would happen - the headlights dimmed?!?!
I thought perhaps it cut the feed to the headlights, but when I looked a bit closer they are still on, but the power to them seems ...

Mystery Switch

Good evening fellow Bongonauts,
While messing around with other stuff on the Bongo this evening I noticed a small round black switch on the panel below the steering column. Does anyone know what this is? I thought it may be a cut out switch, but the engine started with it in both positions.

I'll ...

Re: Original Mazda multimedia and NAVI unit - in Japanese

Thank you both, I'll have a look at the pioneer unit. I'm not too worried about sat nav, I've got an old garmin if we need it, we're not usually in a hurry in 5he bongo anyway!

Re: Original Mazda multimedia and NAVI unit - in Japanese

I'm planning to get a reversing camera for the Bongo, and was wondering about wiring it up to the original flip up DVD player screen that came with it (I'm not really bothered about watching DVDs on it). Has anyone done this? Is it just a standard AV input? Can anyone recommend a camera?

Thanks ...

Re: Recirculate lever jammed

Aha, I have just re-read Simon's post and realised that I must have the summer/winter flap that he mentioned.

I've just looked outside and I can confirm that it is definitely winter!
