Re: Heater problem
As posted above - it says in the manual that if you set the controls to Upper Body/Lower Leg mode ("face and feet") you will get cool air from the upper body area and warm air from the leg area. So you probably don't have a fault, that's how it works.... (page 125 in the handbook)

Re: odb connection.
Nope it will not work as it is not OBD2 (at least on older vehicles) - see this link for how to read the diagnostics....

Deep socket for removing temperature sensor WLT
Hi all To remove the engine temp sensor on a 2.5 Diesel engine you need a really deep socket to fit over the back of the sensor and reach down to the hexagonal flats. It's hard to find a deep enough socket - but at the moment B&Q are selling one which fits with room to spare for £1.44 which is a...

Re: What Does A Leisure Battery Power?
All conversions are unique but it is "normal" to switch the internal lights, blinds, 12v sockets and radio over to the leisure battery. The easiest way to achieve this is to use "piggy back" fuses or spade connectors into the original fuse box and take these connections back via ...

Re: New little issue with heating
I think the heating is working as designed.....If you select Auto then you get variable temperature air out of the vents and you can adjust temp up and down. But as soon as you change any other settings or switch off Auto then the dash vents only blow air at outside temp. See below from earlier thre...

Re: Dashboard vents question
If you press the Auto switch then warm air will be circulated out of various vents depending on the conditions in the van. You will get warm air from the dash vents. If you alter any of the settings except temperature, it drops out of this mode and will only blow cold air from the dash vents - by de...

Re: bongo despair :-(
I had a similar problem with mine a bit after I got it. Did a long motorway run and when I slowed down through the town at the end, the alarm went off and it dumped all the coolant via the expansion bottle cap. I took it to ADS in Bristol how had a good look and replaced the radiator and pump and di...

Re: Remote Start, Immobiliser & Remote Locking???
There's a permanent +12v at the flasher relay which is in the driver's footwell http://www.g8dhe.net/bwm/bwmanualp.htm?1995/Page_74 http://www.g8dhe.net/bwm/bwmanualp.htm?1995/Page_75 It's fed via a fuse already so should be suitable for the actuator but you might want to run a separate wire back to...

Re: Adding a 2nd header under the passenger seat
In which case simply running a second hose up to the existing tank with a t-piece into the existing expansion hose would do the same job maybe? But you would then have an additional circuit for the coolant to circulate so maybe not such a good idea?

Re: coolant temp sensor
I've tested a brand new genuine sensor and I can send you a graph of resistance against temperature if you PM me your email address so you can check yours but to be honest if you are draining the system you might just as well put a new one in while you're there

Re: Eberspacher - heat output
They normally cycle between 4 heat levels so you will get full power on startup then it will drop to a lower level and eventually go into standby and then back up to power as the temp drops. Different heat levels also have different fan speeds. If you have a smart controller it will use a thermostat...

Re: Missing Banjo Filter?
Interestingly although the diagrams at lushprojects show the banjo bolt, they don't show the spring and filter for any of the diesel revisions of the Bongo.Unless I'm looking at the wrong diagrams (Fuel Pump diagrams)
