Rear drop links

Post by samuel » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:50 pm

Recently replaced front drop links in prep for MOT and they were definatley showing signs of wear and Bongo passed its MOT.

However i still get some clunking from the rear which wasn't picked up on the MOT. The exhaust is secured as it should be and the anti-roll bar brackets are ok.

When i examined the rear drop links i couldn't detect any wear in them. However they are rather small and difficult to move about physically by hand.

Could they still be worn out?

with the weight of the van on the ground - check the centre line of the nut holding on the link - it should be dead centre if not worn.
