Cabin fabric

Post by Greenmachine96 » Fri Jul 25, 2025 8:42 am

Odd one here. The fabric on the interior cabin roof has detached over the drivers seat. It's like a bubble of fabric, bit still attached at the edges. It was like it when I bought it. There's still head room to drive, so not so much a problem just something to sort. Not sure how it's happened. No idea how to fix it. Any thoughts?

No idea about that specific problem on a bongo, but its just a car headliner material. Contact adhesive is the usual way to install those items - you can get some spray-on stuff. Obviously, you'll have to remove some trim/edging around doors and sun-visors etc to get access behind it.

Once you get access to it, just clean any loose bits off the back of the fabric, then spray adhesive and smooth the fabric back into place. Lots of helpful videos on YouTube, like this one: https://youtube.com/shorts/OhdGGecX6W4? ... kOQZE58d8V
