Trying to google this part is a nightmare, the one on my shock does not lock onto the suspension piston rod as the keyway is worn, hence we cannot torque the nut on the strut mount, googling it produced only one result for some Proton model on a Phillipino/Malaysian website but not a single result for a Mazda bongo other than a million hits for new shocks which I already have.
I have installed the shock but with only a couple of threads on the piston rod holding the lot together and know its the upper spring seat giving me grief.
Anyone with a busted shock absorber within a hundred miles of Hartlepool I'd be willing to take it off your hands.
There have been 290+ views of the suspension thread so obviously others want to know of any problems doing this job, well this is my worst problem and the solution doesn't appear to be solvable without another knacked shock.

Re: Upper spring seat for shock absorber
Oh well looks like nobody has a garage like mine where all the old stuff 'that might come in useful one day' gets stored. My kid is trying the facebook bongo group as I don't use facey to see if he can source another plate there, failing that I'll fashion a wedge from a bit of steel rod to stop the rod rotating and try that.
