DIY side door switch foam replace..

Post by BongoBongo123 » Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:07 pm

had an offcut from a camping foam matress and cut this about 4 years ago in readiness and today replaced it
after seeing the foam had decomposed to lumpy liquid goo despite plenty of gummi plege over the last few years
was doing roof seal treatment and though I would sort it.

Just superglued it on after a good clean up. Hopefully holds up for a while so save your old camping mats.

The foam rubber from the old Mouse Mats works well its closed cell and more robust!

Good call, might be a good plan to think about that, might have to layer it a bit which would be fine.

This is 15 x more robust than what was left as a cushion, mishapen, cracked on the surface, melted black goo .

I will see how long it lasts for. :D
