Hello all,
I have visited the forum on numerous occasions in the 9 months since I've owned my Bongo but this will be my first post, unfortunately stemming from finding my Bongo to have a bigger issue than those I have previously resolved - in this case, Rust.
When buying the Bongo I knew it was a bit of a project but was assured that it was solid underneath, the MOT history also showing that it failed on inner sills 3 years ago and was repaired. It had been fully undersealed so honestly quite difficult to tell quite what the state really is. Cosmetically it looks in OK condition.
Anyway.... having discovered a small rust hole in the floor in the rear right corner when I had the quarter trim out I planned to patch it up but the more I poked the more I found including some truly atrocious 'repairs' involving metal screwed(!) to rust, or worse just undersealed filler and gaffer tape....
Now to my question - I am resigned to having to pretty much fabricate a new rear corner on both sides but i've also found that inner rear wheel arches have crumbled away. When i have searched online i have only been able to find details and panels for the wheel arch outer - do repair panels exist for the wheel arch inner?
All information and advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon.

Re: Rear wheel arch inner repairs
Welcome!
A lot of people are away at the National Bash (myself included) so answers maybe a bit sparse!
Inner arches are normally fabricated manually fairly simple I believe, but no experience myself.
Yes depending on age and engine type some are coming to the end of there lives from rust not properly sorted before it appears!

Re: Rear wheel arch inner repairs
Thanks for the reply.
After a bit of research I have found the right rear inner arch available from Japan on amayama.com but the left unfortunately isn't and the shipping costs for one panel make it uneconomical.
I will therefore have a go at fabricating. What's the worst that can happen!
