Melted some undercarrige, throttle/trans cable help
Living in frozen Canada, and recently imported my bongo with no cold climate/block heater. Learned the hard way after a spell of -40 that starting my Bongo was going to be tough. Long story short I embarrasingly melted the plastic skid plate that goes over the oil pan which in turn melted/destroyed some cable in the vicinity. Pictures included. The van will start, no CEL, but van will not shift out of park and the gas pedal won’t budge. I am able to rev the engine up at the throttle. I am wondering if anyone has had to replace the throttle/shifter cable and if I am able to replace using universal cable or will I have order vehicle specific.

Re: Melted some undercarrige, throttle/trans cable help
I can't help directly but you may find this link to the mechanical parts listings helpful in identifying the parts and the part #'s. Drive down into the relevant years/engines and then locate the item, click the diagram part # and the table top left will open and the first column is the actual part number often several listed by VIN number etc. http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/ The part numbers can then be Googles quite happily!
