Split coolant pipe

Hi, just sorted fuel filter out, now I have found a split in the top hose under drivers seat, this is an easy repair but can I just connect the hose back and full up from the expansion tank. Thanks.

Depends how much coolant you loose! If it drops down in the de-gassing tank below the level of the tank then its best to bleed the system, assuming your a diesel or V6, a 2l petrol can just normally be filled up again.
