Auto Transmission Pipes Replacement

Hi, advice needed please before the van accidentally goes on fire. I'm replacing the auto transmission pipes and have managed to disconnect the hoses and the 4 clamps holding them to the chassis but can't see how they come out.
With the shape of them I think they're the 1st thing attached to the van when it's being assembled.
No matter how much pushing pulling forcing I can't see which way they come out.
Has anyone changed them and what's the secret to getting them out and probably the other secret of feeding the new ones in without damaging them?? Much thanks, 🙏👀 ps it's for a diesel van.
pps. Before you get anything undersealed make sure everything that needs replacing is. That stuff makes the job even more worse than it already is.

I didn't do this, I watched someone else do it - thanks Ady (Northern Bongolow)

From memory the pipes came out from underneath towards the rear, but it was jacked up quite high on the driver's side to make space for wriggling the pipes through. A fair bit of dismantling had to be done plus a lot of cursing, the mounting brackets snag everything and like you say, those pipes are probably the first thing in the assembly process with no expectation that they'd ever have to come out. While you're at it, do the coolant pipe that's alongside

It's a while ago, but from a bad memory I think we took out the radiator and battery etc to allow for the twisting / refiting of the new one, it's doable , front end up very high makes it easier and as said above do the coolant pipe at the same time.
Good luck.

What an absolute pig of a job that is. Fortunately I'll never have to do it again but I recommend taking it to a garage with ramps rather than DIY at home.
