Just realised how poor our cabin light is. It works, but is weak. Would a replacement bulb help?

Quite often yes, the old fluorescent tubes do get a bit dim. Depending on which type of light, early models had a straight tube later had a "U" tube, replacing them can be a problem. For the straight type, tubes are still available and also there are direct LED replacements, for the "U" tube the original replacements are expensive and there isn't a direct LED replacement you need to install LED COB panels like

Thank you. It’s a straight type so I should be able to replace.

Yep, we replaced our straight fluorescent tube with an LED direct replacement. It made a big difference.

Does it consume less power from the battery too? We don’t have a leisure battery so power is precious.

Not as much a power saving as you might expect as internally there is an inverter to get to the right voltage for the LED's so any possible efficiency with the LED's is lost in the tiny inverter transformer
