Gear shift unit change - help

Post by HappyCamper » Tue Nov 26, 2019 2:11 pm

Hi, I am trying to replace my gear shift unit. It seems easier to replace the whole unit than fiddling around with the knob and gear indicator sheet thingy.
I got everything undone but then got to a clip (about an inch square) that holds the cable into the unit.
Can anyone tell me how to get this off please? In such a way as for it to be usable again for the replacement?
Thanks loads for any help :D

Thank you 😁 the picture shows what I was referring to. Is that what you meant too?
