Hi Bob...
There are mouse repellers that plug in to the mains, and they might be best for the garage..They do work, but only as a preventative. They emit a shrill noise outside our hearing range, and they have a flashing light (small LED or similar)...They also emit a vibration along the domestic wiring. The downside of all of them is that any mice born in the house may be used to the noise, so the thing is that you need to get rid of the house mice first using traps, and then subsequent newcomers hear the noise and go . They do work, but it's patience...Yes...mice do eat mains cable insulation...apparently they like it. The best bait for mice is peanut butter ....and NEVER leave food out .Similarly , don't leave food out in bear country, as you just might get them in your mouse traps, and it's a bugger of a job to get them out once they're wedged in.
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
