V6 and temperature sensors

Hi all

The V6 is running a bit rich, so thinking of possible causes. First I've recorded the fault codes (see my other thread requesting help with reading the sequence of flashes).

In the mean time, the other avenue was thinking of temperature sensor issues. I.e. if the sensor is faulty, the engine will think it's cold and run rich. There are other possibilties such as MAF sensor / lambda but these are more expensive items.

So, can you tell me which sensor (or sensors) are used by the ECU for adjusting the fuelling, and where is it/they on the V6? New sensors seem cheap, so I might try replacing.

Thanks in advance !

Plugs are all OK. Same grey tinge to the electrodes.

Anyone know the temp sensor locations?

So looking for the air intake temperature sensor, if anyone knows the location or the part number?

Many thanks

The wiring diagrams and part diagrams are all online;

Hi - thanks for those.

I've been digging, and as the MAF is a 5 pin unit, I think it has a temperature sensor built in. In fact you can see it as a little probe inside the MAF housing. So I guess that an error code for the MAF will also throw an error for the intake temperature.

I've cleaned the MAF, and the van is silky smooth and quiet. But it's always been pretty smooth.
