Intake Air Temperature Sensor

Post by junglist » Tue Jul 30, 2019 4:53 pm

Hello,

My Bongo is producing an ECU error of P1112 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent, so I'm after an Intake Air Temperature Sensor as a first step to fixing.

I'm having trouble locating the sensor, any ideas? My Bongo is a 2002 2.5 Diesel 4WD.

Thanks

Use the Mechanical diagrams site, choose the year / version then under the Electrics option you will find location and part number for the Air intake sensor. http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/

Could I ask, what is the fault with the vehicle and where / how did you obtain that code?

My Bongo is going into limp mode (flashing hold and glow plug lights). I read the error using this guide [1]. For the error in question, I'm trying the steps suggested here [2] since it's cheaper than a garage visit.

I dont think your vehicle will have a IATs,the only air temp sen would probably be the scavenger fan Sensor.

This diagram [1] matches my Bongo, so hopefully it's the correct sensor.
SENSOR,IN.AIR TEMP
N3A118845 18845 SENSOR,IN.AIR TEMP

And here [2] is the part with matching reference MAZDA: N3A1-18-845 which corresponds visually.

Hello
I am new to Bongoing, have owned our van for a couple of weeks. It is the same age and model as the OP and has a flashing glow light too. Ran diagnostic check and got several error codes some that seem to make sense and some that don’t. I think I got 14, 10, 20, 11, 12 and 18.

Anyway one of those is for the intake air temperature sensor and I wondered if replacing the part had fixed the problem?
