Is there a correct way to lower the tent roof?
Are you supposed to close the hatch 1st, does it make any difference?
Roof lowering procedure

Why? Have you got a problem?
Handbrake applied, vehicle gear lever in park, engine running preferred. Press button on ceiling to unlock the roof, beeps should start, roof should start lowering. At half way point you have to select the button again, and roof should drop, audiable "clunk" of roof locks engaging. Beeps should stop, flashing button for roof unlocked on dash should dissappear. I haven't left the hatch up on purpuse to see if it snags, but I'm sure someone will tell you whether its a yay or a nay. For now, just close the hatch first.

Add in there to roll up the 'canvas' section before lowering. Some on here have reported problems with it snagging and ripping when closing if left zipped up. I haven't but thought it better not to take the chance. Also, if you close the hatch first before lowering, the expelled air can escape easier with the canvas rolled up.
