Hi everyone

Never had to ask this question before, as we have never needed to. Are none bongo guests allowed to stay overpay the bash, obviously at the going rate?

Thanks

You need to be a Club member to stay at Ian's Meets, but day visitors are welcome for free.

TBH Camping at Stourport is very cheap so even paying to join will make it a fairly priced break. 8)

Ian has a post somewhere covering this but can't see it at the moment, the number of cars/people was being taken a little advantage of hence the changes.
Ah its here https://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo-bash-online-booking/

Whisper it quietly, but if the guests are friends or family of members, and just staying for a night of two, then we don't normally require them to join. But they are welcome to make a donation to the Bongo The Elephant fund. But the sponsoring member must take full responsibility for their guest's behavior and will need to make the booking on behalf of the guest. We require full name, email address and vehicle registration.

Well thanks a lot guys we cancelled the bash and our 10 year membership because we were told it was members only and our friends and family could not book and pay for a pitch which we have always done in previous years

Well, it is a members only event. We have to do this for insurance reasons. And because we get a discount on booking the whole site if it is a members event. We book the whole rally field so it's dirt cheap. That's the official line.

But like I said above we are always willing to let friends and family turn up if there's room for the odd night or two. But not very year. That's taking the pi**.

So if you have been doing it for previous years you have been getting away with it. Why don't you get your friends/family to join the club? It's not expensive.....

How can booking and paying for a pitch through the official channels be classed as taking the pi**
