Hello all
I discovered an oil leak yesterday while changing the oil in my 95 TD bongo .
It's seems to be at the front and high up and I was wondering if there's a seal or seals there that are common to fail as I won't have time to look at it for a while . It's not the rocker cover gasket as I've replaced that last year and all appears dry in that area since .
It would be nice to have them at hand while doing the rip down
As always thanks in advance
Brian

Re: Front engine oil leak 2.5 TD
Outside possibility, I had a leak from the steering rack on a previous bongo which sprayed quite high up and around the front, even though the leak originates from low down.Could look like a oil leak on first observation.
Check the level of the power steering fluid. This is found under the drivers seat, the high and low level marks are on the side of the plastic tank.
good luck

Might be a cam seal issue. Clean it off with brake cleaner or degreaser and then try and trace the origin. It's hard to tell with oil everywhere etc...Marc
We love our rusty Bongo "Billy", despite his many faults!
