Driver's Door Wiring Loom

Post by Ian » Thu Apr 26, 2018 1:33 pm

I just tried placing a bulk order for these in Japan and was told that the part (S09A67190F) was no longer available from Mazda Japan. Although we do not have any left in stock, they are still available for the time being from www.mazdabongo.com. But they will run out eventually.

I have a used wiring loom here. Is there anyone out there (Geoff?) willing to try and make a copy for testing purposes?

The problem is getting the connector shells and pins, I looked around carefully before replacing mine, and I think Karl has done the same without being able to locate a source, you have to have the right ones of course to match the ones at the ends of the looms.

Could old ones not be partially refurbished i.e. fresh wiring used for the main runs but soldered and sleeved just short of where the wiring goes into the connectors. The idea being that (we know) the looms fail through wiring fatigue at a particular point.

I was thinking the same thing actually, if its just because the wire, then just bridge or change as much as possible with solders at the connectors? Still nice to have new stuff tho

Not available from Amayama either. And yes, although there are slight differences on the part numbers, the same wiring looms fit all vehicles.

Repair of broken looms is basically what happens now, its best to do all the wires at the same time and stagger the joints a bit. Its not that difficult to do in situ on a nice day as it saves taking the door apart to get the loom out and the affected area is always the same, but needs reasonable electrical wiring repair skills to make a neat job of it.

https://lincospares.com/en/. Apparently they have them in stock, about £100 not sure of delivery cost as they are in ukraine and in germany they are known as https://autofituk.com/fr/ but are 10 euros more expensive but may be a lot cheaper on delivery :-k
