Just a curiosity question...
Whilst looking at an ABS sensor fault, I removed the leisure battery to gain better access to the wiring for the nearside ABS sensor.
I turned the ignition on in the Bongo and noticed that the radio came on. The radio however is on the leisure battery side of the wiring so shouldn't have come on. It had lost all of its settings but surely it shouldn't have come on?

Re: Leisure battery wiring question
When you turned on the Ignition you caused the SCR to operate, this applies power across to the LB to allow it to charge - however it also powers the feed to the LB distribution fuse panel and hence all the items from the LB feed are powered as well, so even though you had removed the battery itself, you had NOT disconnected the power feed hence they were all running from the SB/Alternator at that point....

Good idea to insulate the +ve LB terminal while battery disconnected just in case it touches metal.

No.
We don't have a LB fitted.
