front heater blower

Post by steady1946 » Thu May 04, 2017 7:29 pm

Can anyone tell me where the resistor is situated under the bonnet. Ant pics would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to change it because the front blower is not working. The rear one is Ok? :roll:

Depends what sort of controls you have, the older manaul sliders use resistors whilst the Electronic version has a Transistor and relay in the same location;
Where the probes are stuck in below;

in case you can not make out from geoffs pic where its situated, - - - - if you open the bonnet, then find the clear plastic pipe that drains from the front windscreen panel, follow this down to where it bends, it bends around a black click on panel, remove the panel and you will see the resistor top, remove a single screw to release it then pull it upwards, then you will see the receiver socket as in the pic from geoff.

hope that helps a tad.
