Hi folks - can anyone recommend an alarm guy in the northwest - someone who can figure out what my system is actually doing (or supposed to be doing)?

Re: Cobra alarm
I'm in the North West and used http://www.autosecure.co.uk - and very satisfied I was, too.
It starts with love for foliage and ends in camouflage...
Re: Cobra alarm
Whats wrong with it, Im a Cobra installer.
Re: Cobra alarm
Hi NathM - I'm trying to work out what it does as its functions seem somewhat erratic. It's a Bridge 4100 and I have a report (from 2012) supplied by previous keeper thst states that it 'has ultrasonics, battery backup and dual ccd immobiliser ( crank and ignition) and that the alarm works with cdl but needs adjusting' I knkw the immobiloser works because if i don't put the key in the ignitiin straightaway i have to press the remote to get anything going and if I wait too long before starting then it times it out. When I operate the remote with the doors locked the driver's door ocsionally unlocks but more often than not I have to then unlock with the key. When I use the remote after locking the doors the indicators flash once and the alarm beeps. I need someone to check it over and tell me what it's supposed to do (I ha e an installation manual but no code)

Re: Cobra alarm
its almost impossible to tie in directly to the bongos central locking system, the usual method is to add an aftermarket solenoid to control the drivers door lock, its possible this has become faulty hence the erratic control, the alarm beep when activating in standard form unless programmed it shouldnt beep. You should be able to find manuals online?
Re: Cobra alarm
Thanks NathM - I've got the manual but without the code I can't get far with it and it may be that what you say about the solenoid is right. Scootmonkey has pointed me towards northwest alarms and for £30 they'll come and sort it out - as soon as it comes back from having timing belt and water pump done it'll get them round.
Thanks again
