Sorry for so many posts - I had a new tyre fitted last week, and it seems to be coming away from the rim a little - is that a problem, and would you recommend taking it back to the garage?

That looks like the wheel trim coming loose to me, not the tyre coming away.
Remove the trim and have another look.
I fancy a gap that big would result in a flat if it was the tyre coming away.

Maybe a good idea to tie wrap the plastic trims to the wheels ..
