Knocking from nearside suspension.
I've got a knocking, which is intermittent seemingly dependant on the ambient temperature, around the nearside front suspension. A mechanic has had the Bongo up on ramps and tried to find what is causing the noise but says there is no play anywhere and has no idea what is causing the knock. I've replaced drop links, roll bar bushes, ball joint and the whole wishbone but it hasn't got rid of the noise. Any ideas?

It might be worthwhile checking the spring rubber seats/top hat rubber mounting and bearing etc. If they are ok try a light spray of brake fluid particularly on the rubber seats.

Hi
The top mount gives similar sounds...I had both of mine done. The rubber "sheets" in the spring seating give a squeaking scrapey noise
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: Knocking from nearside suspension.
I had a metal on metal grinding noise last year which after £100's of replacement parts turned out to be a missing rubber washer in front of the wishbone arm. It doesn't sound the same as your issue but have a search for the exploded diagram and check everything is where it should be. I replaced all what you have said, to find it was a couple of quid for the genuine Mazda part from the club shop!
