Hello Bongo friends,
Just wondering if anyone knows of companies that offer a ply lining fitting service for the floor? I'm keen to have as much as insulation as possible and have heard good practice is to have foil (Thinsulate?) beneath the actual ply boards. Anyone know of a good company that offer that sort of fitting?
Thanks very much as always
Steve
P.S. Spoke to converters that offer flooring but both said the ply boards provide insulation enough. Hmmmmmm...

Depending where you are Madmile, of this parish, AKA Celtic Motorhomes, Caerphilly, is very helpful.

I'm thinking of having non slip vinyl type flooring when hi top is done. Am unsure re ply lining as having a dog + water etc if may not last long ??? Have you considered vinyl or just don't like it ? Any probs with it that you know of ?

You could specify external grade ply ... or for the ultimate use Marine ply ..
JAL Mushroom roof,12/240v, fridge, cooker, sink, LPG V6 .. (written off @ £5500 Nov 2016)

I used laminate flooring underlay then external ply and easily replaceable vinyl tiles to finish.

Thanks all for input. Yorkshirelass, most converters will lay non slip vinyl flooring as part of the conversion. As Bob notes, Ed at Celtic Motorhomes goes the extra mile in his work and adds some foil insulation beneath the ply boards and vinyl. Think it's definitely worth it for the extra insulation and sound proofing. Hmmm maybe contact Ed to see if he can oblige me
