Steering rack leak
Have a leak from top seal on steering rack. Not losing much fluid just looks like a lot. Should I try a bottle of Lucas stop leak, new seal set £40 or recon steering rack seen one at £150 2 year guarantee on e bay.

Re: Steering rack leak
ive attempted to repair them twice, once the new seal lasted a few months, the next failed straight away, ive tried the the stop leak type stuff but i cannot remember which one it was, that failed.
the top seal is a special seal and isnt available by itself so you have to buy the complete kit which is half way to a new rack price.
3 things on the bongo have to be right for me, tyres, brakes and steering, they are the things that keep me on the road, the rest doesnt really matter as much. easy diy job and its only 1 hour plus tracking and its done.
