Red antifreeze - caused problems with my low coolant alarm

Just a note on my experience with antifreeze and haydn's low coolant alarm...
With red antifreeze in the system the alarm took about 2 minutes to shut up after starting the bus.
With blue antifreeze it stops virtually immediately.
The colour may, of course, be a red (hahaha) herring, but both were the same make and composition according to the bottle.

It's doing what it's supposed to do
It puts a protective coating on the inside of cooling system
So the screw gets a coating as well
Just remove and clean screws

Yep, I just undid the screws, not fully out, clean with a small wire brush and screw back in.
Engine cold, obviously.

It's normal for red coolant to do this for 2/3 weeks when first introduced into the system......as said...clean the screw or after a couple of weeks contact us for a new screw.

Hear you all, cleaned the screws, got replacement screws, cleaned them, cleaned them again....problem for a year. Changed to blue.... Problem gone. Perhaps it was cruddy antifreeze.
